About the Film
Forever Endeavor offers a witty, wide-ranging, and deeply moving look at the wild and often ridiculous lengths people go to in pursuit of an everlasting legacy. This unorthodox documentary reflects on life’s fleeting nature with keen insight, warmth, and charm.
An extraordinary cast of voices explores the subject, including author Tom Wolfe as his bust is being sculpted; Dr. Henry Heimlich and TCM host Robert Osborne shortly before their deaths; astronaut Jim Lovell; and a “professional record setter” on a Sisyphean quest to maintain his status as the Guinness Book of World Records holder for the most world records.
Contributions from a rabbi, a historian, a paleontologist, a New York Times obituary writer, and an installer of plaques in New York City’s Central Park further illuminate the universal quest for meaning.
