The Community Foundations Community Grant Program is an annual opportunity to provide nonprofits with unrestricted General Operating Support (GOS). GOS grants are flexible and allow funds to support an organization’s ongoing administrative and infrastructure costs and to provide support to maintain existing, effective programs, organizational development and capacity building in Dutchess, Putnam and Ulster Counties.
There are separate applications for each County. Organizations may submit one application per county if they can demonstrate their impact and services in each.
The application has a ‘copy previous answers’ feature. You can quickly duplicate answers from your initial application and then modify to address county specific information within each.
To help you work on your grant application, we have created a Word version of the questions. You can use this document to formulate the answers, along with spell check, character count, etc. However, you must still use the online grants portal to submit your application and provide attachments.

Jeannette F. Schlobach Grant Program

The Jeannette F. Schlobach grant program is open to nonprofit organizations serving residents of Dutchess County, New York who are impacted by poverty.
Organizations involved in providing programs and services to individuals, families and their pets to support and improve economic stability, health and educational opportunities, are encouraged to apply.

Wish Book
If you would like to be included in our Wish Book, please log in to the CFHV Grants Portal, click on Wish Book, and complete the LOI. Please note that submission does not guarantee your organization will be featured. You must provide services in Dutchess, Putnam or Ulster counties to be eligible to apply. You can ask for any amount here; we deliberately chose nonprofits with capital campaigns or large expenses. Please pick a high-quality photo to accompany your request.
Application: An online application is required and must be submitted via the link below.
Awards: Flexible requests from $5,000 on up
