CFHV Celebrates New Ulster County Office

Community Foundations of the Hudson Valley celebrated the opening of its new Ulster County office with a ribbon cutting on August 11, 2026. Located at 253 Fair Street in Kingston, the space is provided in partnership with Rusk, Wadlin, Heppner & Martuscello, LLP.

The new location gives CFHV a welcoming place to meet with donors, nonprofit leaders, professional advisors, and other community partners in Ulster County.

"Having a dedicated space in Kingston will help us deepen our relationships and better support the vibrant communities, nonprofit work, and generous donors on both sides of the Hudson River," said Laura Washington, President and CEO of CFHV.

"The Community Foundations of the Hudson Valley is essential to our region's civic infrastructure," said John G. Rusk, a partner at Rusk, Wadlin, Heppner & Martuscello, LLP. "Just as people value local expertise in legal and financial matters, locally rooted philanthropic services can help their generosity go further."

Among those joining CFHV for the ribbon cutting were Ulster County Executive Jen Metzger, Kingston Mayor Steven Noble, the Ulster County Chamber of Commerce, and representatives from New York State Senator Michelle Hinchey's office. Refreshments were provided by local caterer Tiffany's Table.

CFHV has been a philanthropic partner in Ulster County for years, supporting local nonprofits and community initiatives through its grantmaking, THRIVE capacity-building programs, and partnerships with local organizations and funders. CFHV also works with individuals, families, and businesses who use donor-advised funds to support causes they care about in the community. Recent work includes support for food access in partnership with the Ulster County Executive's Office, the Farm Fresh Food Initiative, and the Kingston City School District Mini Grants program. The new Kingston office will provide another way for CFHV to connect with the people and organizations working to strengthen Ulster County communities.
