The Community Impact Research Fellow will play a pivotal role in advancing CFHV’s mission by conducting comprehensive research to assess community needs, strengths, and opportunities for improvement in Ulster, Putnam, and Dutchess Counties. The Fellow will synthesize existing surveys such as the Hudson Valley Indicators, Sienna College Research Institute’s Upstate New York Business Leaders Survey, United Way ALICE Report, Pattern for Progress data, and NYCON’s State of the Nonprofit Sector Report. Additionally, the Fellow will design and implement new surveys to gather insights from individuals and organizations within the region. The main objectives include identifying factors that contribute to the region’s appeal as a community to live and work in and assessing market threats affecting those areas.

The Grants Administrator provides critical administrative, database, and programmatic support for the Community Foundations, and specifically the Programs Team, and its various internal and external stakeholders. Reporting to the Vice President, Programs, the Grants Administrator performs a variety of programmatic and administrative tasks and ensures the smooth functioning of the Foundation’s grantmaking and scholarship programs. The Grants Administrator supports our partners in navigating the Foundations’ grantmaking systems, and responds accurately and promptly to staff, fund advisor, donor, student, and grantee inquiries. Community Foundations of the Hudson Valley (CFHV) seeks an experienced and highly motivated asset development professional to focus on Putnam and Southern Dutchess Counties. The Vice President for Development will work collaboratively with a seasoned senior management team to drive revenue growth across all channels of fundraising. Reporting to the President & CEO, the Vice President for Development, cultivates and solicits new and existing donors with the goal of establishing donor funds and securing long-term, endowed, and unrestricted assets. This position also solicits annual support through grants, sponsorships, as well as major gifts. This position will also contribute to, and partner with, the Development team on the design and successful execution of events that attract professional advisors and inspire and celebrate local philanthropy by educating donors about community issues and how they may get involved to address those issues. The Vice President for Development creates strong donor linkages through stewardship of a portfolio of fund advisors and donors, developing goals and strategies for each, and maintaining regular personal contact.
