Comprehensive Charitable Services for Your Clients
By working with the Community Foundations, your clients receive the benefit of our donor-friendly approach, as well as meaningful and personal community connections. Your clients can enjoy the pleasure of giving and grant making without the burden of administration.
The Community Foundations is a public charity, thus we offer the maximum charitable tax deductions, making more funds available to support your clients' philanthropic interests.
Professional Asset Management
Your client’s donated assets are professionally managed according to the Community Foundations' investment policy. Each fund is pooled with the Foundations' more than $60 million dollars in assets, resulting in lower management fees, greater investment diversification, and minimized investment risk. Donors establishing funds of $500,000 or more may recommend an investment manager they wish to use.
We provide all administrative services related to a donor’s fund, including accounting, auditing, financial management, due diligence, grant making and evaluation. Our professional staff is accessible and supportive. We excel at — and enjoy — connecting donors with their areas of interest.
Individualized Charitable Goals
Our depth and breadth of experience allow us to assist you in serving clients who have diverse philanthropic goals, such as:
- Multiple charities. We regularly assist clients in giving to one charity or many, and in setting up scholarship programs.
- Legacy giving. If your clients want to create a personal or family legacy in the community, we can help them to achieve their long-term vision.
- Life insurance and IRAs. We frequently work with donors whose assets include life insurance benefits and IRAs that will be subject to income and estate taxes when passed to beneficiaries. Gifting these assets to the Community Foundations allows them to pass without the tax burden.
- Gifts of appreciated securities, tangible personal property and real estate. We can assist donors who have assets that many smaller charities are not able to accept.
