Students seeking financial help for college can find it through a variety of scholarships offered by Community Foundations of the Hudson Valley. Scholarship funds held by the Foundations will provide more than $400,000 to students throughout the region for a wide variety of interests and intended majors. The Foundation manages endowments created by generous families, individuals and community groups looking to permanently memorialize loved ones and invest in the future. Last year the Foundation awarded scholarships to 178 students.
Cristin McPeake, Vice President of Programs at Community Foundations said “we are pleased to help donors and students achieve their goals to make education more accessible. Given the economic impacts of Covid-19 and rising costs of higher education, these resources are increasingly vital to families in our community.”
