Applications due April 1st
POUGHKEEPSIE – Students seeking financial help for college or vocational training can find it through a variety of scholarships offered by Community Foundations of the Hudson Valley. Scholarship funds held by the Foundations will provide more than $300,000 to students throughout the region, for a wide variety of interests and intended majors. The Poughkeepsie-based organization manages endowments created by generous families, individuals and community groups looking to permanently memorialize loved ones and invest in the future. Last year 181 such scholarships were awarded.
Cristin McPeake, Director of Programs at Community Foundations, said “we are pleased to help donors and students achieve their goals making education more accessible. Given the rising costs of higher education, these resources are increasingly vital to families in our community.”
