Community Foundations award nearly $200,000 to support more than 100 non-profit organizations in Dutchess, Ulster, and Putnam counties

The Community Foundations of the Hudson Valley awarded more than 100 grants totaling nearly $200,000 to the work of local nonprofits in our communities. Grantees were selected by volunteer committees who collectively reviewed the more than half million dollars in grant requests. These highly competitive grant programs fund work that connects people to their neighbors, their land, and their history in ways that strengthen the fabric of our community.

“We are so grateful for the many hours our volunteer committee members spend carefully reviewing each request we received,” said Andrea Reynolds, President and CEO. “These applications tell the story about the breadth and depth of needs in our community, and of the many wonderful nonprofit organizations working to address them.”

Grant recipients were recognized at receptions held this week at the Ulster County Historical Society’s Bevier House in Stone Ridge, and at Arts MidHudson in Poughkeepsie.
