$813k in Grants to Provide Farm Fresh Food to Hudson Valley

The Community Foundations of the Hudson Valley is pleased to announce that 19 regional nonprofits will receive a total of $813,000 in grants over three years through its Hudson Valley Farm Fresh Food Initiative. Funding is made possible by the generous support of the NoVo Foundation, the Ralph E. Ogden Foundation and other private donors. The initiative provides grants to nonprofit organizations increasing access to local, farm fresh food for individuals experiencing hunger.

“Thanks to our generous donors, this funding will provide multi-year support for a range of services, including home delivery, summer backpack programs, mobile markets and more,” said Cristin McPeake, Director of Programs.
 
Grants are being awarded to Angel Food East, Ascension Holy Trinity Parish, Common Ground Farm, Cornell Cooperative Extension Orange County, Dutchess Outreach, Family of Woodstock, Hillside Food Outreach, Hudson Valley Seed, Kingston YMCA Farm Project, Newburgh Urban Farm and Food Initiative, North East Community Center, People's Place, Phillies Bridge Farm Project, Poughkeepsie Farm Project, RDC Loaves and Fishes, Rondout Valley Food Pantry, Second Chance Foods, St. Thomas Episcopal Church and Underground Foundations.
