Anonymous Donor and Community Foundations Award $10,000 in Grants for Emergency Services in Ulster County

Partnering with an anonymous donor, Community Foundations of the Hudson Valley is awarding $10,000 in grants to shore up emergency response services in Ulster County. This opportunity provides funding for equipment and trainings which will enhance delivery and accessibility of emergency health services throughout the County.

“These grants exemplify the philanthropic spirit of the Hudson Valley,” said Cristin McPeake, Director of Programs. “Seeing a need, this anonymous donor stepped forward in generosity and leadership to provide funding which will increase the capacity of life-saving medical services in a variety of organizations in Ulster County.”

Grants will be conferred to the following programs and projects:
  • Bardavon/Ulster Performing Arts Center, to purchase defibrillator replacement parts
  • Family of Woodstock, to provide CPR and Narcan delivery training
  • Mohonk Preserve, to purchase a portable defibrillator and provide training
  • New Paltz Rescue Squad, to purchase a heart and lung training torso
  • Rosendale Theatre, toward the purchase of a defibrillator
  • Sawkill Volunteer Fire Company, toward the purchase of a defibrillator
