Michael P. Murphy Public Service Scholarship

Established by the Dyson Foundation in honor of its’ friend and board member, Michael P. Murphy, and supported by his family, friends and colleagues, the scholarship is for a graduating senior from Millbrook High School, Our Lady of Lourdes High School or Poughkeepsie High School who has demonstrated leadership in and a passion for giving back to their community and will attend an accredited college or university. A minimum of one $1,000 scholarship will be awarded.

Application Details:

With your completed Online Application, you will also need to attach the following:

– Essay discussing your career goals, personal values, and community service (typed, limit to one page or 500 words).
– Most recent high school transcript.
– Copy of your FAFSA Submission Summary and Student Aid Index (SAI), which you will receive when your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) has been completed and submitted.
– Two current letters of recommendation from teachers/guidance counselor, clergy or persons other than family members who are familiar with your skills and abilities. These letters must have been written within the last six months.
