The Robert K. and Clara Lou Gould Memorial Scholarship is an award given to graduating seniors from Beacon High School who have extensive community service experience and will attend a post-secondary institution after graduation.

– Extensive community service experience
– Demonstrate ability to succeed in college

Alternative Materials:

• An essay discussing a community service project you participated in and your involvement in that project. Your essay should be no longer than one page in length.
• Your most recent high school transcript.
• Two (2) current letters of recommendation from teachers/guidance counselor clergy or persons other than family members who are familiar with your skills and abilities.

Application Details:

With your completed application you will also need to attach the following:

– Essay discussing discussing a community service project you participated in and your involvement in that project.
(typed, limit to one page or 500 words).
– Most recent high school transcript.
– Two current letters of recommendation from teachers/guidance counselor, clergy or persons other than family members who are familiar with your skills and abilities. These letters must have been written within the last six months.

Deadline:
Application must be submitted to the Beacon High School Guidance office with all attachments by April 5.
