The Community Foundation has established the Legacy Society to recognize people who are planning for gifts today that will provide benefits to our community in the future. These gifts may take the form of bequests, charitable remainder trusts, life insurance, or other types of charitable planned gifts.
Sometimes such gifts go unrecognized because they come at the end of the donor's life. The Community Foundation Legacy Society provides a way for the Foundation to recognize and thank donors during their lifetimes. Members of the Legacy Society will be recognized in the Foundation's printed materials and invited to periodic events. Our staff is available to Legacy Society members and their advisors to discuss estate and gift planning questions and concerns.
How do I become a member?
You are already eligible for membership in the Legacy Society if you have made arrangements in your will, or through some other form of deferred giving, for a gift to the Community Foundations of the Hudson Valley, the Community Foundation of Dutchess County, the Community Foundation of Ulster County, or the Community Foundation of Putnam County. Please let us know you would like to be recognized as a Legacy Society member by completing the form below. If you choose to remain anonymous, you will be listed as an anonymous member of the Legacy Society.
If you wish to become a member and still need to make arrangements, please feel free to contact the Community Foundation to discuss the various planned giving options available to you.
